To study for the CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma, you’ll complete two core modules and two optional modules in year one, and two core modules and two optional modules in year two. Our modules are taught through a blend of: • Face-to-face workshops facilitated by sector experts • CIPD Flexible Learning+ workbooks and textbooks for directed self-study • Written and practical assessments The CIPD Flexible Learning+ workbooks and textbooks are commissioned by the CIPD’s learning delivery arm and are written by HR experts, exclusively for CIPD Flexible Learning+ programmes. The theory is broken down into manageable chunks and includes real case studies and selftest questions. Two of the four core modules are assessed by national CIPD exams which take place in January, May and September each year. You’ll receive support from your personal tutor over the phone, by email and through the VLE, where you’ll find activities, blogs and extra resources. • Individual and group work using the virtual learning environment (VLE) • Ongoing tutor support throughout your programme of study 10 The workshops are your opportunity to talk with your industry colleagues about the material you’ve studied in your own time. High level summary of your programme To complete your CIPD Level 7 Advanced Certificate or Diploma in Human Resource Management or Development with MOL, you will: • Attend, approximately once a month, a series of face-to-face workshops facilitated by MOL’s experienced and knowledgeable practitioner tutors • Use the CIPD Flexible Learning+ virtual learning environment (VLE) to access valuable learning resources and activities, and track your learning journey • Work through the comprehensive CIPD Flexible Learning+ materials developed specifically for your programme • Attend workshops dedicated to help prepare you, and develop your skills and techniques to sit and pass the two core CIPD national exams • Submit a work-based research proposal and report • Submit a work-related portfolio of evidence of skills development • Complete a range of written assessments • Complete a record/plan of your continuous professional development (CPD). Once you’ve completed your chosen modules, you’ll be awarded the CIPD Level 7 Advanced Certificate or Diploma in Human Resource Management or Development, depending on your chosen specialism. 11 Which CIPD modules will I take? The MOL CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma consists of four core CIPD modules and four optional CIPD modules. You can achieve a Certificate by studying any four modules, and then build to the full Diploma by adding core or optional modules, according to the CIPD’s prevailing rules of combination. We’d advise that you plan to spend around 10-12 hours of directed self-study each week between workshops. Exams are held in January, May and September each year and you will be able to sit your exams in the same area as your workshops. Do I need to become a member of the CIPD to study my programme? Yes, you’ll need to become a member of the CIPD to study for this qualification. Membership brings you a range of fantastic benefits. There’s a one-off joining fee and an annual membership fee. We’ll send you a CIPD registration key approximately two weeks before your programme starts. You can then use this key to activate your membership and pay your CIPD fees directly to the CIPD along with your exam fees.
