Global Knowledge Sharing on Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacies
Dear my colleagues who work as pharmacists, the academics, pharmaceutical industry
representatives and bureaucrates,
Dear students of Faculties of Pharmacy,
On behalf of the whole organizing committee, I would like to extend my special thanks and gratitude to those of you
who participate and contribute to “International Congress of Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacies” and “Student Workshop”
that will be held in Istanbul Halic Congress Center on 28-30th November 2014, with the main theme of “Global Knowledge
Sharing in Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacies”, an event that is supported by the Turkish Minister of Health Dr Mehmet
Müezzinoğlu and the Minister of Labor and Social Security Faruk Çelik. We believe we have prepared an outstanding
program for you.
The major objective of this congress is to discuss challenges with and to build up solutions to “problems of profession of
pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry” by gathering hospital pharmacists, non-public pharmacists, public
pharmacists, academics, students, industry and bureaucrats on the same platform. We also aim to increase knowledge
of future pharmacists from today and let them have commitment to the identity.
Pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry have been facing important problems for long time now. The pharmacists
would like to serve their best to their patients with no worry about their future. The Pharmaceutical Industry, which has a
strategic role in reaching Turkey’s 2023 goals, expect to talk about their problems and would like to discuss their
suggestions of solutions with the bureaucrates. And during all these, we are completely aware that we need to receive
opinions of participants with national and international experience.
We believe that our country needs such a meeting. We are leading to have a meeting that will attract stakeholders and
improve itself each time with the experience coming from the former. We expect to see in our congress all our colleagues
who are pharmacists that have commitment to the pharmacy career, the students, the pharmaceutical industry
representatives who have been working hard to improve the field in our country and the bureaucrats who see the
problems and do their best to solve them.
We expect to host all stakeholders who have “a word to say” in this International Congress of Pharmaceuticals and
Pharmacies and the Student Workshop“. With no “Registration fee” we believe that congress will be followed, improved
and enlightened with your contributions and will guide a better way to our future.
We hope that this meeting will be productive and efficient for our profession and will become a meeting point for us all.
I do extend my best wishes and respect to all of you with the hope that we will meet on 28-30th of November in Istanbul,
Halic Convention Center.
