Massimo Minervini Curriculum Vitæ Piazza San Ponziano, 6 55100 Lucca, Italy H +39 320 1570860 B massimo.minervini@imtlucca.it Web: IMTLucca , LinkedIn Profile I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science and Engineering at IMT Institute for Advanced Studies, Lucca, Italy. My research activity is focused on the design and implementation of a low cost sensor for image-based high-throughput plant phenotyping, and the development of a context-aware compression algorithm on resource-constrained devices. My main interests are in data compression, computer vision, machine learning, computational intelligence, cloud computing and life science applications. My work has spanned a diverse set of topics, at the intersection of different fields. Topics in which I have produced original contributions include: image compression, colour space transformations, image segmentation, cloud resource allocation, fuzzy recommender systems, and nonnegative matrix factorizations.
