Excellence In osteological Science: From research and technological development to the osteo-implantological future clinical practice” that will take place in Turin, at Carignano Theatre, within the heart of the Savoy city, on 30-31 May 2014. This event represents the culmination of my cultural activity in this two-year presidency of SIdCO Italian Society of Oral Surgery. The program took up the C Ruggero Rodriguez y Baena Carmen challenge of the Horizon 2020. This project Chair Mortellaro Co-Chairwas designed by the Chair European Communities to facilitate the improvement in education and employment outlook. This will be accomplished through a more effective utilization of resources, a wide competitiveness, investments in new technologies and better work opportunities. di Horizon 2020, il progetto della Comunità Europea finalizzato ad agevolare i progressi nel campo dell'istruzione e On the subject of health, calls for funding of projects involving “custom the person are privileged, as well as clinical migliori opportunità di lavoro. They want to share with SIdCO this important meeting of high education and human aggregation, in two different sessions: “The implant- prosthetic treatment of edentulous sites with bone deficit” and “It's still the bone antilogous the gold standard in bone regeneration?”. Both sessions will be very worthwhile thanks to the knowledge, skills and expertise of the speakers as well as the important scientific topics that they will cover. Valuable international speakers and experts on the subject will examine several strategies concerning bone regeneration, and the prevention and treatment of biological complications on implantology. They will also present the news on autologous growth factors. Finally, they will discuss the future of clinical research desired by Horizon 2020. This aspect will be deepened by the lecture on the new frontiers in nanotechnology and biomimetic engineering bone, which will take place at the CNR in Faenza. A session “Poster and Oral Presentation” with awards, will give a forum to researchers, clinicians and to the Forum Young Surgeons who want to present their experiences in the field of implantology and bone regeneration. Finally, the event will be accompanied by a major exhibition that will offer various technologically advanced equipment to support the daily professional practice. I, together with Prof. Rodriguez and all the Directors, look forward to seeing you, for an educational and friendship event, in an extraordinary charming Turin, a city that you wouldn’t expect!
