In recent years, there has been rapid development in high-speed computing, mobile communications, and deployment of wireless communication infrastructure. Advances in wireless technologies have engendered a new paradigm of computing. Users now have the opportunity in accessing information anywhere and at any time. Ubiquitous computing is an emerging field of research for computing models. This emergence is the natural result of research and technological advances mainly in wireless communications, mobile computing, embedded computing, autonomic computing, sensor networks, ad-hoc networks, vehicular networks, cellular networks and intelligent computing. In this talk, I will present some problems and issues in wireless networks. Then, I will show a simulation system for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) and a platform for P2P networks. I will give many evaluation results for different scenarios. I will introduce also, our research work for Cellular Networks, Vehicular Networks and Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs). I will present some Intelligent Algorithms based on Fuzzy Logic (FL) and Genetic Algorithms (Gas) and will give some future research directions and applications for next generation wireless networks.
