Nebraska Municipal Clerks Newsletter July 2015 MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT Kellie Crowell, Ravenna Clerk/Treasurer, NMCA President Eight months and counting….the 70th Annual IIMC Conference in Omaha will be here before we know it. Last week, a few of the board members along with Beth Deck, Ellen Freeman-Wakefield and Buster Brown met with IIMC representatives Chris Shalby, Ashley DiBlasi, and Sharon Ozimek and current IIMC President Monica Martinez Simmons. The group from IIMC spent four days in Omaha, they shared their excitement on coming to Nebraska in 2016 and were impressed with Omaha! They loved the food, people, venue and atmosphere. It was an outstanding meeting and we felt good about how things are falling into place for the conference. Some of the main topics were speakers, finances, sponsors and volunteers. The board members and education committee will be meeting with Ellen and Buster next month to really start things moving forward. IIMC board members also will be meeting next month and we are anxious to hear what exciting things they have in store for us.
