MISSION
The Staff Regent shall represent the staff and employees to the Board of
Regents and ensure that the employee welfare and programs and services
are made accessible to the diverse employees and staff of the university.
Vision
The Staff Regent will be recognized as a dynamic and proactive leader
working for the advancement of the employees and staff.
The mission shall be carried out to:
1. Advance the vision of diversity and inclusiveness inherent in
the University’s mission and vision
2. Establish principles, policies, and best practices for the
advancing the interests and welfare
3. Remove barriers and create opportunities for access and
success
4. Foster an inclusive campus environment that respects the
dignity of every person, seek similarities, understands
differences, and celebrates diversity of its employees
5. Demand accountability for inclusive practices that promote
employee welfare
6. Cultivate a culture of assessment and continuous improvement
of diversity and inclusion in the programs of the university that
shall be beneficial to all employees
