If you have switched off this function on your computer, please do the following in order to install the program: 1. Insert the product DVD in the DVD drive. 2. Open the root directory of this drive. 3. Start the installation by double-clicking the file Setup.exe. The setup program guides you through the complete installation. You may be asked to restart your computer following the installation. Please adhere to the notes on installation and use in the Installation Notes and in the Release Notes: • Installation Notes: After start of setup, click on the button “Yes, I would like to read the notes.” in the “Product Notice” dialog. • Release Notes: In the setup dialog “Programs,” click on the “Readme” button displayed for the selected product. 2 You can also find these documents as PDF files on the product DVD in the directory “Install_and_Release-Notes“. Start the software by using the link on the Desktop or from the Windows Start menu. Note The trial version needs to be removed after the duration of use has expired, because MS SQL Server express edition is installed with the trial version, but the WinCC 7.4 full version is installed with SQL 2014 SP1.
