The Exane insulation is radiation crosslinked and provides outstanding physical properties, resistance to abrasion, cut-through, low and high temperatures, drilling fluids and muds, sunlight, flame, and moisture. Exane® MR is extremely tough and durable and withstands the arduous environmental conditions experienced in offshore mobile drilling units (MODU), FPSO’s, TLP’s and land rigs for oil and gas drilling rigs. Exane® MR’s 125˚C temperature rating for short durations lends itself to handle higher ampacity levels and higher safety margins in the field. It’s extremely flexible design and tightly controlled dimensions lead to benefits regarding lower weight, tray fill, ease of installation and long service life in drag chains. ® Construction Conductor: Flexible,softannealedtinnedcopperperASTMB33&IEEE1580 Insulation: Irradiationcross-linkedPolyolefin,Exane®125˚C Circuit Identification: Standard–VividpigmentedinsulationcolorsperIEEE1580.Optional–Dk.Gray+No’s Fillers: Whenrequired,flameretardantandnon-hygroscopic Inner Jacket: Black,cross-linkedchlorosulfonatedPolyethylene(CSPE).Sunlightresistant Armor (optional): BronzeBraid–Standard.TinnedCopperBraid–Optional Outer Jacket (optional): Black,cross-linkedchlorosulfonatedPolyethylene(CSPE).Sunlightresistant Temperature Rating: RSCCWire&Cablerated125˚C,UL/CSA110˚C,IEEE100˚C A Marmon Wire & Cable / Berkshire Hathaway Company RSCC Wire & Cable LLC © 2013 • 20 Bradley Park Road • East Granby, CT 06026 USA • 800-327-7625 • Tel: 860-653-8300 • Fax: 860-653-8301 • www.exanecable.com For more information contact the RSCC factory at 860-653-8300. How To Handle Cable Reels YES NO Always load and store reels upright on their flanges and block securely. Upended heavy reels will often be damaged. Reels can be hoisted with a properly secured shaft extending through both flanges. Do not lift by a single reel flange. Cable or reel may be damaged. Cradle both reel between fork tines. Never allow fork tines to touch the cable surface or reel wrap. flanges Lower reels from a truck using a hydraulic gate, hoist or fork lift. LOWER CAREFULLY. Never drop reels.
