Saving Energy is Mandated by the Board of County Commissioners. Together, we have the power to save energy! Around 10% to 15% of energy conservation potentially comes from occupant behavior. Everyone’s efforts make a difference. The County’s Sustainability Plan outlines activities for conserving resources. Every department also has their own sustainability plan with specific selected actions for energy conservation. Energy saving efforts result in responsible use of County funds. We have an energy use reduction goal of 20% by 2018, which could result in up to $400,000 cumulative savings.
