To manage and provide an effective payroll service to customers to ensure consistency and
quality of service throughout the department.

General Duties
To authorise pay input and all pay change details
To set objectives and complete Performance Development Reviews
regularly and on time
To manage short and long term absence processing
To supervise the administration of the childcare e-vouchers scheme
To identify erroneous payments/overpayments and set up a plan for
recovery
To monitor flexible starting pay
To authorise financial references
To deal with such pensions related tasks appropriate to the grade

To check the exception and control reports prior to the payroll sign off
each month and ensure that all payroll errors are resolved
To ensure that Annual Pay Awards are processed and implemented
