EMCO MSI Package Builder provides different preferences options that you can configure according to your needs. EMCO MSI Package Builder enables you to specify different filters for the following: File system – Enables you to specify the filters for file system items on your machines. Registry – Enables you to specify the filters for registry items on your machine Installations – Enables you to specify the different filters for installations on your machine. Adding File System Filters To Add File System Filter in EMCO MSI Package Builder To add file system filter in EMCO MSI Package Builder, perform the following steps: 1. Select Preferences menu item shown under Options menu. 2. Preferences dialog box will appear on the screen. 3. Expand Filters node from the tree shown on the left. 4. Select File System node. 5. Click Browse button to select the file filter that you want to specify. 6. To convert selected file to system variable click Convert to System Variable icon. 7. Click Add button to add you selected filter. 8. Your added filter will appear in the filters list. 9. Click Ok button to close Preferences dialog box. Removing File System Filter To Remove File System Filter in EMCO MSI Package Builder To Remove file system filter in EMCO MSI Package Builder, perform the following steps: 1. Select Preferences menu item shown under Options menu. 2. Preferences dialog box will appear on the screen. 3. Expand Filters node from the tree shown on the left. 4. Select File System node. 5. Select you’re the file system filter that you want to remove from the available filters list. 6. Click Remove button to remove your selected filter. 7. This will remove your selected filter from the filters list. Adding Registry Filter To Add a Registry Filter in EMCO MSI Package Builder To add registry filter in EMCO MSI Package Builder, perform the following steps: 1. Select Preferences menu item shown under Options menu. 2. Preferences dialog box will appear on the screen. 3. Expand Filters node from the tree shown on the left. 4. Select Registry node. 5. Select the root key for your required register key from the Root Key dropdown list. 6. Type the key that you would like to filter out in the registry key textbox. 7. Click Add button to add you selected filter. 8. Your added filter will appear in the filters list. 9. Click Ok button to close Preferences dialog box. Removing Registry Key Filter To Remove Registry Key Filter in EMCO MSI Package Builder To remove registry key filter in EMCO MSI Package Builder, perform the following steps: 1. Select Preferences menu item shown under Options menu. 2. Preferences dialog box will appear on the screen. 3. Expand Filters node from the tree shown on the left. 4. Select Registry node. 5. Select the registry filter that you want to remove from the available filters list. 6. Click Remove button to remove your selected filter. 7. This will remove your selected filter from the filters list. Adding Installation Filters To Add an Installation Filter in EMCO MSI Package Builder To add an installation filter in EMCO MSI Package Builder, perform the following steps: 1. Select Preferences menu item shown under Options menu. 2. Preferences dialog box will appear on the screen. 3. Expand Filters node from the tree shown on the left. 4. Select Installations node. 5. Type in the name of the installation that you want to filter out in the Filter Value textbox. 6. Click Add button to add you selected filter. 7. Your added filter will appear in the filters list. 8. Click Ok button to close Preferences dialog box. Removing Installation Filter To Remove an Installation Filter in EMCO MSI Package Builder To remove an Installation Filter in EMCO MSI Package Builder, perform the following steps: 1. Select Preferences menu item shown under Options menu. 2. Preferences dialog box will appear on the screen. 3. Expand Filters node from the tree shown on the left. 4. Select Installations node. 5. Select the installation filter that you want to remove from the available filters list. 6. Click Remove button to remove your selected filter. 7.
