Players Code of Conduct








I will play soccer according to Colossians 3:23. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart.”
I will play by the rules of soccer and in the spirit of the game.
I will show respect at all times for all coaches, players, spectators and officials during practice and games.
I will not fight or use foul or abusive language or inappropriate gestures.
I will be a team player.
I will acknowledge all good play- that of my teammates and of my opponents.
I understand that Coaches are there to coach. If I am found to be behaving badly my coach is permitted to remove
me from an event.
I will not take part in any form of bullying, either to an opposing player or to a player on my team. Bullying in any
form, whether in person, electronically (any form of social media) will not be tolerated.
Games and Practices





I recognize that practices are more important than games and games are equally important.
If I cannot make a Club game, I will notify the Coach or 3:23 staff as soon as possible.
I realize that players get playing time priority based on several factors including attendance, player position, effort,
attitude, etc.
I realize that all playing time may not be equal.
I will leave 3:23 and any other facility used for games in the same condition in which I found it. I will discard all my
trash. I will not chew gum or eat on the turf. I will also make sure my cleats are not muddy before I practice on
the turf.
My Uniform



I will take good care and pride in my uniform.
I will ensure my jersey is tucked in at all times as required by the laws of the game.
I will wear my shin guards, socks, appropriate footwear and approved practice attire to all practices.
Discipline




I recognize that the team coach will handle infractions that occur during practice and the games.
I recognize that infractions that occur during the games are governed by the Laws of the Game and are decided by
the referee. I acknowledge that a Caution (yellow card) or Dismissal (red card) can exclude me from playing in a
future game as governed by the League rules.
I recognize that discipline will be first handled by the Coach, then if needed, 3:23 Athletics on the furthering of
continued training within the facility.
I am responsible for reimbursing the Club or 3:23 Athletics for any and all fines payable to the Club.
Consequences

If for any reason, the Code of Conduct is not followed, by the player, the following steps may be taken by the
Coach, the Club or 3:23 Athletics:
o Reduce the playing time of the player
o Suspend the player for a time period
o Remove the player from the team.
