POSITIONING & PHYSICAL FITNESS
1. Demonstrates basics of correct positioning in all positions.
a. Demonstrates movement attempting to be on tangent in Lead position.
b. Attempts to be ahead of play as Lead when transitioning out from Trail to new
Lead position.
c. Comes across restraining line in both Trail positions.
d. Engages in play, as C and B positions, when the ball is in their half of CSA and
nearest them in transition.
2. Demonstrates appropriate fitness level for the collegiate game (endurance – Cooper
12 minute test) for their age and gender.
3. Runs through restraining line in transition from Lead to Trail B and C positions.
MECHANICS, PENALTY ADMINISTRATION, GAME MANAGEMENT

Consistently displays a directional signal in a timely manner.
Consistently displays appropriate foul signals in a clear confident manner.
Uses appropriate whistle. (i.e. tone, volume, length)
Demonstrates proper procedure for restarts for fouls in the critical scoring area; for
offside; and for cards.
5. Counts players before the draw; during transition; after goals; and after time outs.
6. Manages challenging situations with players, coaches and fans appropriately.
COMPORTMENT, COMMUNICATION & TEAMWORK
1. Communicates clearly and respectfully with game personnel, players, coaches and
partners.
2. Makes eye contact with partners at appropriate times. (i.e. Before draws, after
goals, before restarts)
3. Communicates (clearly and calmly) with partners, coaches and players throughout
the game, especially in situations such as offsetting fouls, cards, and or ejections.
