In our pre-mobility activities all partner organizations planned to study on what common student problems are in each school, what we are currently do to reduce, prevent or solve them and what practices are to be done for that What common students' problems are in our schools? After that we performed a common questionnaire prepared by the counsellor of the host school related to the topic of the mobility. The questionnaires were addressed to students and were designed to measure the students’ problems and how they affect their school performance. The students were asked to supply information about their problems and how this problems affect their school performance What common students’ problems are in our schools? Furthermore we have analyzed and interpreted the centralized survey results. The most common joint problems that have emerged from analysis of the questionnaires are linked to addiction (for example online, smartphones, nicotine, alcohol), emotional problems and difficulties in dealing with the parents and friends, school failure What common students’ problems are in our schools? Other important problems we have discovered as a result of this analysis were: the socio-economic status, students coming from separated families or single parent families, communication problems between parents and children and families in which one or two of the parents work abroad An alternative approach to students’ problems Best Practices Best Solution to Students’ Problems Courses Counseling sessions (individually and in groups) Meetings with parents, seminars for them Home visits Civic actions with students Preventive actions Best Practices Best Solution to Students’ Problems School discipline committee School honour committee Gathering detailed information about their past and background Activities (questionnaires, face to face communication) to be performed to know students better Best Practices Best Solution to Students’ Problems We should inform students more about rules and responsabilities True modelling, encouraging and supporting the good acts We must make parents taken into action with teachers and school together Monitoring students at home Best Practices Best Solution to Students’ Problems Students must be oriented to the area they have interest Being friendly and thoughtful to them, being tolerant Attend training courses, talks, workshops communicate effectively Encouraging them to participate in different contests Best Practices Best Solution to Students’ Problems Policies and goals must be set logically and must be realistic Not just for students or parents, but also periodical seminars, courses must be carried out for teachers A special committee having more free time to deal with the problems should be formed in schools Best Practices Best Solution to Students’ Problems For addiction problems should exist medicals experts who make periodical tests Curriculum should be arranged according to their interests, levels and aims Increasing the attractiveness of lessons The problems should be tried to be solved firstly inside the school Best Practices Best Solution to Students’ Problems If teachers are expected to detect and solve problems then they must have more rights and powers To solve problems teachers mustn't have problems economically, mentally, pedagogically and psichologically Raise the salaries Best Practices Best Solution to Students’ Problems Teachers must support and award the good ones and take precautions to make the negatives positive Organize some occasions to increase the interaction between the teachers and other parts of the school More counselors should be occupied in schools
