Every member shall have the following rights: a) To attend the regular and special meetings of the general membership of the Association; b) To vote concerning the election of officers and on motions presented during the General Assembly meeting; c) To run for office, except those who are honorary members, who, however, may be appointed or designated by the Board of Directors to act as members of the special or regular committees; d) To represent AUAAI in functions, in and out of the University, with official consent as determined by the President or the Board of Directors; e) To use the facilities and avail of the services and benefits offered by the Association; f) To file complaints against officers, directors and members; g) To observe in the meetings of the Board of Directors and any of the special and regular committees without prejudice to Executive Sessions which shall be determined by the concerned committees; h) To be informed on matters pertaining to the attainment of the objectives of the Association; i) To propose amendments and revisions to the By-laws; and j) To inspect the records of all business transactions and the minutes of the meetings and book of accounts of the Association at reasonable hours on business days. Article VIII ELECTION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD xxx Section 2. No person shall be allowed to run for director unless he is a regular member of the Association, at least eighteen years of age on the day of the election, neither suffering from civil interdiction nor convicted of offenses involving moral turpitude. xxx Article XVII RESIGNATION, REMOVAL AND SUCCESSION Section 2. Absences of a director from three consecutive regular Board meetings, without justifiable reason, shall be considered as abandonment of his position. Section 5. Impeachment shall be limited to removal from the Board. The Board of Directors, by two-third vote, shall decide whether to expel the impeached director from the general membership of the Association. A Director removed by impeachment shall no longer be qualified to run as a member of the Board of Directors. xxx GUIDELINES FOR THE CONDUCT OF THE 2017 ADAMSON UNIVERSITY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION INCORPORATED (AUAAI) BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTIONS ` 1. The deadline for filing of candidacy is on February 02, 2017 at 5:00 PM at the Alumni Office. ONLY THOSE CANDIDATES WITH COMPLETE REQUIREMENTS AS OF THE DEADLINE SHALL BE INCLUDED IN THE FINAL LIST OF CANDIDATES. 2. Election Expenses shall not be regulated by the AUAAI. Candidates may post announcements and campaign materials subject to the usual procedural clearance from the concerned officers of the University at their own expense. During the Election Day, a common poster area shall be installed at SV Grounds. 3. Strictly, NO ALUMNI TICKET, NO VOTE. The control number of the alumni tickets shall be used in the monitoring of voters. 4. EXCLUSION AND INCLUSION OF VOTERS SHALL BE ADDRESSED TO THE COMMITTEE ON ELECTIONS WHICH SHALL RULE WITH FINALITY. No further motions, pleadings, manifestations and the like shall be entertained. 5. NO PRE-PROCLAMATION CONTROVERSY SHALL BE ENTERTAINED. 6.
