Paid performers (such as at fairs, carnivals, collegiate and community theatres) are NOT eligible to
compete
Audience members will select the winner!!
CASH PRIZES: 1st- $300 2nd- $150
Winners will perform at the 2015 Casey County Apple Festival

There is NO entry fee
Auditions will be held January 4th from 2pm-4pm at the Lights of Liberty Theater
Entry forms must be received at the Liberty-Casey County Chamber of Commerce no later than
Friday, January 2nd.
Entry forms can be mailed to “Liberty-Casey County Chamber of Commerce P.O. Box 278,
Liberty, KY 42539” or dropped off at Liberty City Hall
Each audition will be no more than :30 sec
Auditions must be a cappella
A pool of 10 contestants will be selected from the auditions by the judges
The contest will begin Sunday, January 18th and continue each Sunday through February 15th
Winners will be selected elimination style by audience vote
Voting will take place at the Lights of Liberty Theater at the conclusion of each week. Only
audience members are allowed to vote.
The two contestants with the lowest vote each week will be eliminated from the competition
Each contestant will furnish their own music (Song title to be delivered to the Chamber of
Commerce the week prior to the performance) in form of a CD(s), single guitar or piano
accompaniment. A keyboard will be provided.
Contestants will perform music based on each week’s theme. (To be delivered at the time the
contestant is selected from the audition pool)
In the case of a tie vote, there will be a “sing off” between the two contestants where the
judges select a song to be performed by each contestant.
Order of appearance in the competition will be determined by random drawing.
All entries must meet eligibility requirements and the decision of the judges is final.
A rehearsal will be held on January 11th at 2:30 P.M. to allow performers to gain a feel for the
stage and to check sound, lights, ect.
