The Waikato Bay of Plenty Football Federation is pleased to announce that BAY SPORTS
CENTRE will be sponsoring the Knockout competition for Men’s Bay 1 and 2 sides to be known
as the Bay Sports Centre Cup.
Structure for 2017
16 teams
Cup
 Round 1 Cup – 16 teams – 8 matches
 Round 2 Cup – 8 winners
 Semi Final Cup – 4 teams - 2 matches
 Final Cup – 2 teams - 1 match
Bowl
 Round 1 Plate - 8 losers of Round 1 Cup,
 Semi Final Plate – 4 teams - 2 matches
 Final Plate – 2 teams - 1 match

Cup – Round 1 May 20, Round 2 June 24, Semi Final 22 July TBC, Final August TBC
Bowl – Round 1 June 24, Semi Final 22 July TBC , Final August TBC
Venues and Times
In all matches up to and including the Quarter Finals, the first team on the draw will be at
home with a 2pm kick off subject to ground availability.
The Semi Finals and Final will be played at Fergusson Park.
Final - Plate kickoff 12pm, Cup kick off 2pm
Important notes
 Squads limited to 18 players, Players are Cup tied and cannot play for another team
within the competition
 Rolling subs up to 10 Interchanges
 Teams withdrawing/defaulting/forfeiting from the Cup competition will not be eligible
to be included or participate in the Plate section
 All players must have played in two games for their respective team no less
than 6 days apart
 All players who have played in two or more competition games for a Federation 1, 2
Northern Region Football League (NRFL) or Northern Region Football League (NRFL)
reserve league teams, will not be eligible to play
 Team Cards must be received for Cup games by the 12pm on the Wednesday
following the fixture or teams will not move through to the next round
 Note teams receiving Byes or knocked out may have games brought forward.
