St Mary’s College Ball 2017
Dear Parents/Guardians
St Mary's College Ball will be held at Eden Park Event Centre on Friday 2 June from 7.30pm until 11.00pm. The ticket
price is $120 per person which includes dinner, dancing and photo downloads of the ball photos. Your daughter may
attend if she is in Year 12 or 13 at St Mary’s College. She may purchase an additional ticket for a guest, provided the
guest is over 16 years of age and at least in Year 12.
To ensure a happy and successful occasion appropriate behaviour will be expected at all times. Please ensure that your
daughter and her guest have read and understood the following requirements.
1. All usual College regulations apply to students and their guests. No alcohol, cigarettes, legal stimulants (e.g. party
pills) or illegal substances are permitted. Students and/or guests who break these rules will not be admitted.
Parents will be contacted to collect them.
2. Students and guests may be required to undergo breath testing on arrival and bags will be checked.
3. There will be no refunds for any guests who are not admitted or asked to leave the premises. The College reserves
the right to ask anyone to leave the function. Parents will be informed if such a situation arises and are responsible
for transport home.
4. Parents are responsible for suitable arrangements before and after the event, including transport to and from the
venue, as your daughter and her guest will only be under the College’s supervision for the time they are at Eden
Park.
5. Guests must arrive between 7.30pm and 8pm and must be collected between 11.00pm and 11.30pm.
6. The College advises parents that it does not approve of any pre ball or after ball functions.
7. This is a formal occasion and dress should be appropriate. However, the College is mindful of the costs faced by
parents today and urge that girls practice moderation in ball expenditure. For boys there is a minimum dress
requirement of tie, dress trousers, dress shirt and a jacket. No jeans, t-shirts or trainers will be permitted. Suits or
Black tie are encouraged.
8. St Mary’s College reserves the right to deny permission to attend the ball to anyone deemed inappropriate.

Failure to meet this deadline will mean the student will not be able to attend this function.
Tickets may be paid for from the first week of April 2017 and can be in paid in instalments as long as the total payment
is met by the due date. Tickets will be distributed through Form Teachers just prior to the Ball. If you have any queries
