The Mississippi Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (MAHRO) 2017
Commissioners Conference will be held at the beautiful Renaissance Montgomery Hotel and Spa
in downtown Montgomery, Alabama.
Registration will begin on Sunday, April 23rd at 4:00 P.M. with a reception at 6:30 P.M.
and dinner will be immediately following. Registration will resume on Monday morning at 7:30
A.M., with a continental breakfast being served before the general session begins at 8:30 A.M.
We are pleased to have Mr. Mickey McInnish, who is an Attorney from Montgomery, to
be our trainer this year. Topics Mr. McInnish will train on include the ever important Succession
Planning, Use of Criminal Records, Working with Attorneys and Crisis, and Responsibilities. All of
these topics should be very helpful to each one attending.
Hotel Reservations must be received on or before 5:00 P.M., Friday, March 31, 2017. You

Commissioners Meeting April 2017 or by telephone at 1-800-468-3571 or 1-334-481-5000, with
reference to MAHRO for your room reservations in order to receive the special room rate of
$153.00 per night, plus applicable taxes and fees. This rate also includes the daily parking fee.
Remember the cut-off date for the MAHRO block of rooms is Friday, March 31st.
The registration fee is $400 per Commissioner or PHA member if postmarked by March
31, 2017. Late registration fee (registration postmarked after March 31, 2017) is an additional
$50 per person. If you plan on bringing a guest to the meals, their name must be on the
registration form, as name badges are required for entry into the banquet halls. We ask that you
please assist us with this so that we will have an accurate head count for our meals.

Thursday, April 13, 2017, to receive a refund minus a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations
received after April 13, 2017, will not be eligible for a refund. No refunds will be given for noshows or functions that are not attended.

There is a Robert Trent Jones Golf Course, Montgomery Zoo, Riverboat Cruise, Biscuits
Minor League Baseball, East Chase Shopping Mall, Windcreek Casino, and a Riverfront
Entertainment District with restaurants and bars.
