No papers will be provided at the meetings. They will be emailed in advance and team representatives to bring their own hard copies. ALL TEAMS MUST REPRESENT THEMSELVES Fixture List Helen Stout to liaise with Paul Streton (web/league manager) to create fixtures. Kim Miller to liaise with umpires and have the umpire rota finalised for September/October. Fixture list will be issued to League teams via the website on Tuesday 25 August. CNL WILL BE USING THE WEBSITE THE MAIN SOURCE OF INFORMATION. ANY CHANGES TO FIXTURES ETC. WILL BE LISTED ON THE WEBSITE. Team captains and team members are advised to check the website regularly for any updates. Will include: Theory test dates/venue, practical dates, pink week, meeting dates, website address, contacts for results and match reporting. Scoring to be undertaken either in advance of own fixture or after own fixture. The Fixtures for the full season will be issued in the first instance. Due to umpire availability the fixtures will remain the same but the venues may change. FINANCE Budget for 14/15 The budget has been devised to ensure all possible costs to the League are covered. League fees for this season are approx. £865 per team. League fees exclude affiliations. Team West Cumbria will be supported by the League with a 50% reduction in their fees. This is to assist with development of junior players. An exact breakdown will be forwarded to teams once the fixtures have been finalised. Payments of League fees will be accepted via bank transfer or cheque only. 3. UMPIRING To ensure continued development there will be a Beginner Course held and tests administered throughout the season. A structured and strategic umpire development plan is in place. Between September and December 2015 the League’s 4 umpire mentors will work specifically with 4 or 6 trainee umpires that will be tested prior to end of December. The mentors will then work with another 4 or 6 from January 2016 to be tested prior to the end of the season. To ensure CNL has a good supply of all teams should aim have to following complement of active qualified umpires to ensure their entry into the League. 1st year of entry 2nd year of entry 3rd year of entry No umpires required Minimum of 1 qualified umpire Minimum of 2 qualified umpires It was agreed that umpires listed on Registration Forms must be ACTIVE i.e. be prepared to umpire at least once per month. It was agreed that umpire travel expenses will remain the same: League games £10.00 per fixture Handicap games £5.00 per fixture Testers travel expenses will remain the same: Pre-assessment £20.00 per assessment Beginner test £15.00 per test Umpire expenses will be paid: January For September - December June For January – end of season 3. AFFILIATIONS Once the exact affiliation fee (CNL used the 2014/15 figure for the advanced payment at AGM) is known this will be added to the League fees. All players who affiliate via the Workington League – need to pay an additional £1.00 to ‘Second Claim’ to the Copeland League. All players who affiliate via the Copeland League – need to pay an additional £1.00 to ‘Second Claim’ to the Workington League. Basically if players play in both leagues they need to pay an additional £1.00 affiliation fee. 4. PUBLICITY Website is being updated. Each team will have their photo taken between September and December 2015 to be uploaded on the website - if consent from teams is given. These photos will also be used to create a library for the local media to with match reports. 5. ANY OTHER BUSINESS PRESENTATION NIGHT Purple Turtles to organise.
