EMPOWERING PEOPLE Spring 2016 "1VCMJDBUJPOPG4USFFUT"MJWF.JTTJPOt$IBOHJOHMJWFTGPSPWFS:FBST Let’s talk about Brianna. Brianna was raised in a financially and emotionally unstable home, like many of the youth and children Streets Alive Mission has worked with. She began in the Kidz Alive program, and has stayed through Epidemyc and Uwezo. There were points in her life where we actually purchased basic necessities such as deodorant and clothing for her. She’s another child that could easily have lived her life in poverty and neglect. However, she’s blossomed into an amazing young woman. Brianna was the first in her family to graduate from high school, despite her parents divorcing during that time. After she graduated, all of her immediate family moved out of town. She is currently living on her own, working a steady job and attending university, once again the first in her family. She also continues to work with us as a youth leader, and has brought other members of her family into the youth group. Brianna has worked hard, but without donations from people like you, she may never have been given the opportunity. Your donation makes a difference. , onomy c e f g n li g te, rtage o o h s a A strug mployment ra r’, s. ing poo g middle clas u ne k h r o g ig h w ‘ a indlin ce of whelmin r n w e a d v d o a n u e d an o th an ab e ousing, ting factors t h ets Aliv le e b r t a d S u r t o ib f af na ntr ch ams ru e all co with ea r r g a w o r o e r p s g e ts to the Th s Stree see for ntinues m o e a c r w g t o s d r li p t nee ur clien he number of O . n io t do Miss s. ar, as e y oversee g d in n s a s a s p un r, ission r he poo t M t u e o v li h A wit ever be ? n l il w We help will you I Graduated ! Our youth group has gone from an average of 20 youth to over 35 just in the last year. Our men’s housing remains full year after year. Last year alone, we gave away approximately 50,000 sandwiches. We see about two-thirds of the female prison population every Friday at the jail visits. s th wa y 4 h c ar db ut M s prepare he b , n gt sio wa joyin ng e Mis reakfast n v i e l Thanks to our faithful donors, the Streets Alive Mission e A t.
