Description
The Micro Isolation Solenoid Valve is ideal for integration into microfluidic systems due its
very small size and ultra low internal volume of 1.1µl (for valve Part Nos. 3000173,
3000174, 3200168 and 3200169).
The miniature solenoid is 4.2 mm square, enabling valve mounting area and flow path
lengths to be minimised. The perfluoroelastomer diaphragm and PEEK body ensure that
the fluid only comes into contact with inert materials. There are manifold mount and tube
barb connection options.

Specifications - Micro Isolation Solenoid Valve, Latching
The latching versions of the Micro Isolation Solenoid Valve are contained in the table
below. These valves require no power to maintain the valve in the open position. Power is
required during the changing of state from open to closed or closed to open. The polarity
of the current should also be reversed to change the state.

Technical Notes:
(1) Tube barb allows connection to flexible polymer tubing with for example 0.8mm ID
and 1.6mm OD.
(2) Duty cycle is the percentage of time that 5V can be applied to the valve without
damage.
(3) Maximum energising time is the maximum continuous length of time that 5V can
be applied to the valve without damage.
(4) Coil temperature increase indicates the heat rise in the valve coil when 5V is
applied for the maximum energising time.
(5) Energising time for the latching valves is the required time that voltage should be
applied in order to change state.
