WEST END VILLAGE PERSPECTIVE SCULPTURE GARDEN ELENI JONES LARCH 414 FALL 2016 sculpture garden. Varying plant heights are strategeically placed to create an anticipation for the reveal of each artist’s sculpture. Each sculpture is revealed at distinct spots on the winding path. While plant heights create the revelatory experience of artistic creation, they also reveal sensory experiences along the visitor’s journey. Plants have been grouped together in mixes that include height, texture, The West End Village is an up and coming artist’s village. This design creates a space for those who create art and those who admire it. The West End Village Sculpture Garden has a distinct art distric theme. This is a revelatory design. It reveals artistic creativity through a winding path of exploration, and reveals sensory experiences. Planting design is used to create the sensory experiences of this PLAN color, and fragrance. A contest will be facilitated by the James gallery for artists who wish to design a sculpture for the garden. The installations will last for one year, making the contest an annual event as well as an annual festival for the sculpture unveil each year. This space will add artistic life into the West End Village and become a public space for those working in the area.
