For example: internet, library books, your parents, etc. Summary of Requirements Kindergarten Requirement 1 - Pledge of Allegiance Recite the “Pledge of Allegiance” from memory and show how to say the pledge. 2 – USA Flag (turn in) Color the attached picture of the United States flag and answer flag question. 3 – Patriotic Song Memorize and sing or recite “America (My Country Tis of Thee)” to the tester. 4 – Symbols and Monuments Identify United States and MD state symbols to the tester. 5A – Geographic Locations Name the city and county in which you live to the tester. 5B – Geographic Locations (turn in) Color items on map and draw a picture of Tydings Park. 6 – Government Officials (turn in) Name the President and Vice President of the US and tell why they are important. 7A – History Identify 2 historical figures from pictures. 7B – History (turn in) Name 2 national holidays and name 2 historical events in your family. 8 – Citizenship (turn in) Identify the roles of family members and draw a picture of your family. 9 – Community Service (turn in) Choose and complete one community service project.
