The Daytona Beach Police Department responded to 800 N. Atlantic Avenue
(Daytona Beach Club) in reference to a CPR call. Upon arrival, one person
(female) was found lying on the pool deck area unconscious. It was then
learned that the female may have jumped from the 7th floor balcony. The
female’s boyfriend was attempting CPR. Emergency medical personnel
treated the victim on scene and pronounced her dead at 1022 hours.

Deceased victim, Stacy V. Gano W/F DOB 07-11-1968
Witness, Lester Bruce Vega W/M 08-21-1957 (boyfriend)
The victim and her boyfriend (Vega) was involved in an altercation that
took place inside and outside in the hallway of their hotel room# 706 at
the Daytona Beach Club. During the altercation, the victim went to the
balcony, crossed over the balcony railing and was hanging from the
balcony by her hands. Vega grabbed ahold of the victim by the arms
an attempted to pull her back over. The victim made no attempts to
come back over the railings. The victim fell to the pool deck area. Vega
and others went to the victim’s aid. Vega attempted CPR until medical
personnel arrived on scene. The victim was pronounced dead at 1022
hours. All parties involved are cooperating.
