Welcome to Peppercorns
A History
Welcome to Peppercorns Academy, the award-winning children’s music and theatre academy in St Neots,
Cambridgeshire.
Peppercorns Music School was founded by Steve and Caroline in 1983 as a music school. A few years
later theatre groups were added and Peppercorns became known as Peppercorns Music & Theatre School,
performing many of Steve’s musicals and plays not only in The Priory Centre, St Neots but also in various
other venues, such as the West End!
Peppercorns has since moved into their own building, including a purpose built theatre, with the biggest
permament lighting and sound rig in St Neots, for the kids to perform in. Peppercorns has grown to be
hugely successful, from a few kids in the backrooms of The Priory Centre, to our own building with around
100 children in our 3 theatre/film groups and many more taking music lessons or part of Peppercorns
Junior Choir.
Music tuition is not just for kids though! We have a number of adults who learn guitar, drums, vocals and
keyboard, amongst others. We also run 4 adult choirs: The Evergreens, Capsicum Singers, St Neots Jewels,
and Peppercorns Singers (although young adults are welcome too!).

- Media Consent Form
- We often photograph or film rehearsals and productions, mainly for the immediate use of family or
training, and for producing DVDs of the production. However, as you may be aware, we also create
YouTube videos and we need your permission for your child to be involved in the project. We may also
use photographs or film clips for publicity, or for our website, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram galleries.
We will always ask your permission before we use any material of your child. Please fill in and print out
or email to steve@peppercornseden.org.uk.
The Directors of the Peppercorns Academy and regular staff are all enhanced CRB checked and First
Response First Aid Trained. Staff have also completed or are taking the Child Welfare and Protection
courses sponsored by local and national government.

Peppercorns Academy Media Consent Form
Dear Parent/Guardian
Below is our consent form for you to sign in order to give us permission to post footage of your
child/ren on our YouTube channel, other social media, our website, and printed advertisements. We cannot
use any media (film clips or photographs) containing your child/ren on any platform without your written
consent. Before any photographs, artwork, or films are submitted you are more than welcome to view
them, please let us know if this is the case.
We use this media mainly to showcase the incredible hardworking talent we have here at Peppercorns via
our YouTube music videos, however we also use media to help promote our services or certain events.
We will also use film footage to educate our pupils on how they can improve, or how previous pupils have
performed a certain character, song or dance.
You may revoke permission at any time by emailing enquiries@peppercornseden.org.uk with the subject
field “MEDIA CONSENT PERMISSION”. We will contact you and work with you on how best to proceed,
such as by removing videos or deleting photos in galleries.
