Write a short paragraph in English (approx. 50 words per paragraph) about TWO of the following
four topics:
i. Food and drink in Germany. In your paragraph, name at least two types of food and two
types of drink in German, and explain in English what they are! Also name a few
regional differences (e.g. between North and South German dishes).
ii. Festivals in Germany other than wine festivals. Briefly describe three festivals (besides wine
festivals) that take place in Germany each year. Where do they take place? When do
they take place? What do people do during these festivals?
iii. Wine festivals in Germany. Where do they take place? When do they take place? What
happens at these festivals?
iv. The Berlin Wall: What it symbolised for East and West Germans, and the progress
(economically and socially) that has been made since the Wall came down.

Rose Cottage ist ein gemütliches Cottage in Connemara. Es liegt am Eingang der
Renvyle Halbinsel. Es gibt Angelmöglichkeiten (Fluss und Meer) und Sandstrände
