The smooth drum compactor purchased under these specifications shall be a used 2013 or newer with
600 or less hours model designed and built for compaction of granular and semi-cohesive soil. These
specifications are minimum requirements and are intended to govern the size and type of unit purchased.
Any exceptions or variations from these basic specifications must be stated. Failure to completely
describe the equipment bid herein may result in rejection of the entire bid. The right is reserved to
evaluate variations from these specifications and to award the contract for the compactor which best fits
the needs for the overall application parameters.
GENERAL
Unit shall be a self-propelled, smooth drum design for use in compaction of granular and semi-cohesive
fill materials. Smooth drum and tires shall be driven to provide optimum traction and gradeability.
