CISCO NAMES ITALTEL AS ITS ’UNIFIED COMMUNICATION
PARTNER OF THE YEAR’ FOR ITALY
The award is an important recognition of Italtel’s exceptional expertise and
capabilities for development, integration and sales of Unified Communication
solutions. It was presented in Milan at the annual Channel Partner Award, the event
held by Cisco for its partners that have excelled the most in the Italian market.
Milan, May 7, 2008 – Italtel, one of the leading companies in the development and
integration of products and services for new generation IP networks, has received
an award from Cisco in the ‘Unified Communication Partner of the Year’ category at
the 2008 Channel Partner Awards held at the gala evening for the American
company’s partners that achieved the best results in sales of Cisco solutions in
2007.
Italtel, a leading company in Europe and one of the best in the world in voice, data
and image convergence on networks and IP, offers Unified Communication solutions
that are secure and reliable, with guaranteed continuity of service and access to
innovative applications and services that enable more efficient processes and which
take full advantage of existing infrastructure assets.
The Business Voice solution, developed by Italtel and already in use at Telecom
Italia, is the result of the integration of Cisco products with Italtel’s own Softswitch
i-SSW platform and it provides Service Providers and Large Enterprises with unified
messaging and collaboration services (video, document sharing, mobility, presence,
preference and telepresence), integrating software applications for a more effective
management of business processes. This solution, which enables operators to
manage the Unified Communication services for the enterprises, has met with
considerable success from service providers and telecom operators both in Italy and
abroad.
