Snake
Snake
slithers
among stones,
coils and loops
and hisses,
forked tongue
darts as fast
as an arrow,
aims and misses.
Snake glides
over pebbles,
sleeps, snoozing
in the sun,
hunger longforgotten,
waits still, till
day is done.
