Carla McGlynn in her role as partner with UPCR LLC brings over 20 years of unclaimed
property consulting expertise, including assisting companies to meet their unclaimed
property reporting requirements, performing liability risk assessments, identifying and
applying favorable mitigation techniques, initiating and negotiating state voluntary
compliance agreements, managing and defending clients with multistate unclaimed
property audits, and drafting or enhancing unclaimed property policies and procedures.
Carla has provided unclaimed property consulting and compliance services to hundreds of
Fortune 500 & 1000 companies located across the country in various industries, including
the financial, broker dealer, aerospace, life insurance, property and casualty insurance,
retail, manufacturing, distributor, services, and healthcare industries.
Carla previously served as the Director of Advisory Services with APS LLC. She was
responsible for strategy development, and for managing and supporting the APS’ national
team of unclaimed property specialists. Prior to joining APS, Carla was the Metro New York
Area Director of Unclaimed Funds Advisory Services for Ernst & Young LLP. And, prior to her
tenure with Ernst & Young, Carla served as the New York Tri-State Area Leader for Deloitte.
Carla is significantly involved in the Unclaimed Property Professionals Organization (UPPO).
Carla currently serving her second term as the Secretary to UPPO Board of Directors for
2014-2016. Carla is a frequent speaker at business and trade association conferences and
unclaimed property technical webinars.
