January 2013 Chinese Christian Herald Crusades, Inc. is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization (parachurch) established in 1982 to make known the love of Christ to Chinese immigrant communities. We are primarily a Chinese speaking (Mandarin and Cantonese dialects) organization. Director (F/T) Youth & Camp Department at CCHC’s Urban Ministries Center The Youth Department Director manages and oversees all youth and camp department activities, staff, programs and functions in the Chinatown branch (Urban Ministries Center) youth department and at the Camp Herald campsite in Central Valley, NY. Primary Responsibilities Promote and further CCHC’s mission of reaching the lost in the Chinese immigrant community through YD and Camp activities Develop and ensure accomplishment of department and organization goals in alignment with CCHC mission and purpose and further Youth Department mission (to unite, organize and mobilize the body of Christ to reach Chinese youths for the glory of God) Secure funding and develop budget for youth department Develop partnerships with community organizations and churches and leaders to work, collaborate and partner together to further CCHC’s mission and purpose Equip and teach staff, volunteers and constituents with the Holy Scriptures and the Gospel Recruit, train and manage volunteers Assist and participate with CCHC events and general organization-wide needs May need to run and/or oversee specific programs that the YD runs Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must have excellent communication skills – written and oral Must be bilingual – fluent in spoken English and Mandarin or Cantonese (reading and writing plus!) Should have an extensive network of (or ability to build) and consistent support of a church body Ability to manage multiple projects and people with minimal resources Ability to care for a wide range of people - staff, volunteers and youths served.
