What is a CARPENTER? A Carpenter is responsible for designing, building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, furniture, and other items using different types of materials including wood and metals. CARPENTER Qualification & Entry Requirements of a Carpenter: ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ Brunei Citizen/Permanent Resident At least 16 years of age Pass medical fitness Pass interview ▪ No colour appreciation deficiency ▪ No vertigo ▪ Physically fit Roles & Responsibilities: ▪ Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisors/clients. ▪ Estimate height, width, length and other proportions for any work or project. ▪ Working with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass and metals to construct work orders. Certificate of Achievement in Carpentry aims to provide trainees with knowledge and necessary skills for a carpenter who is involved in the construction, erection, and repair of buildings and other structures made of wood. A carpenter uses a broad range of hand and power tools to construct items from wood.
