My name is Juliana, I am from Brazil.
I’ve been working for an automotive French
company for 3 years now and last April I was
transferred to work in France as a learning
manager.
Why am I learning French? In my work, I can
speak English with my colleagues but I know
how important it is to understand French to
communicate with people from different jobs.
And in my personal life, I need French language
not only for daily routine (go to the supermarket, buy stuff etc.) but mainly to meet and socialize.
That’s why I study French every week with a particular teacher.
I have already studied French at University, because I like the language. But after years without
practicing, it was difficult to maintain the level. Before leaving Brazil, I studied intensely for two
months and now I keep on learning at AF Lyon. Beyond my one-to-one French course at AF Lyon,
in my opinion it is also very interesting to have the opportunity to participate in cultural activities
in the school. I appreciate the attention of teachers and employees and their flexibility to adapt
my course to my needs. As I studied before in other countries, I know I have shortcomings; So,
this flexibility is important to me.
I am very happy with my new life in France. I love my job and I have a lot of fun to live in Lyon.
This is a beautiful cultural city that offers a lot of possibilities and allows many discoveries.
Studying at AF Lyon was for me a great opportunity for my personal and professional future. I
am very grateful for that!
