Prof. Jitka Dupačová 7. 8. 1939 – 4. 1. 2016 Jitka Žáčková was born in České Budějovice in southern Bohemia (the city of Budvar/ Budweiser) in 1939. In 1945 she moved with her parents to the spa town of Karlovy Vary (Karlsbad) in Czechoslovakia, where she grew up. MSc. Prof. Jitka Dupačová * was active till the last days * published several books, over 150 papers * gave courses on stochastic programming, financial management and optimization at various universities around the world * was an excellent teacher and advisor * established and led seminar on SP for 30 years * spent almost 60 years studying or teaching at the Faculty of Mathematics, Charles University in Prague * is missed by Czech and Italian SP community very much Thank you, Jitka!
