English 12 (hours 1, 6)
-Silent reading day- any student who does not have a book needs to either get a book off of my shelf or
go down to the LMC to get a book to read.
-Please go around with the class list in the sub folder and ask students what page they are on at the start
of class.
-When there are about 5 minutes left in class, go around again and ask what page they are on again.
Please record these numbers in the boxes provided for each student. They get participation points for
reading.
RITE English 11/12
- They are looking at figurative language in the novel we are reading. The definitions are on the hand
out. They may work in small groups on this assignment. If they get done really early, there is a crossword
puzzle on the back of the packet they should complete.
RITE English 10

***Please remind them that they only have about 6 more in class days to read their books if they are
being too loud or not on task.

-Students should have their rough drafts of their essays done and they should be peer edited.
-If students need to finish peer editing, let them finish, otherwise, students should log onto a computer
and start on their final drafts of their papers.
-Please hand out the formatting sheet in the folder to the students. Students should make sure their
essays meet these formatting standards before they hand them in.
-When students are done with their final drafts they should turn them in directly to you and you should
put them in the sub folder.
-When students are done with their final drafts, please give them the grammar practice sheets to work
on.
