Veterans Day - NOVEMBER 11th: Chapter 10 will host its annual Veterans Day Service at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Eden Park. The Service will be held on Tuesday, November 11, starting at 11:00 a.m. Our Guest speaker will be Vice-Mayor David Mann, Vietnam Era Navy Veteran. All are invited to meet for lunch at the Chapter House, 8418 Reading Road, in Reading, immediately following the Service. Buckeye State Council Meeting - DECEMBER: Chapter 10 will host the BSC Christmas Banquet and Meeting to be held on December 11 & 12, 2015. The Banquet and Meeting will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Blue Ash on Pfeiffer Road. We are hoping for a large turnout to show the rest of the state how involved our Chapter 10 members are. If you are able to come, we are asking you to bring one or two can goods that will be distributed to one of the Vietnam Veterans Of America Chapter 10 Forth - Quarter News - 2015 - Page 2 of 2 September : Buckeye State Council Membership Meeting: BSC held its quarterly Membership Meeting, September 12th at the Sandusky, Ohio Veterans Home. Chapter 10 sent 3 delegates to this meeting. August : Purple Heart Day Event: Chapter 10 participated in the Annual Purple Heart Day Memorial Service on Fountain Square August 5th. The Chapter had a booth displaying information about areas relevant to Vietnam Veterans and their families such as the effects of Agent Orange, PTSD, etc. July : VVA National Conference: The bi-annual VVA national conference was held in Springfield, Illinois, July 21 – 25th. New officers were elected and numerous Constitution changes and amendments were adopted. Chapter 10 sent 3 voting delegates to this conference. Crayons-2-Computers: Thanks to everyone who again made Chapter 10's Crayons-2-Computers campaign a big success. A very large box of new school supplies was donated to this very worthwhile organization.
