Changes – Hard-Hitting and
Forward-Looking
Well, we certainly have had some major events take
place since our last issue of Good Times.
Unfortunately, Hurricane Sandy hit the east coast
with a thunderous roar that left devastation all over
the coastline and interior sections of New Jersey,
NYC, Long Island and eastern Pennsylvania. This
storm left many people living on the coast homeless, or with significant damage to their homes. Our
hearts go out to all of them as they begin the
arduous task of repairing and replacing their
affected properties. At Duro Dyne Bay Shore we
were without power for the entire week, and only
had it restored Monday morning, November 5th. We
thank our valued customers for their support and
patience during this difficult period. We are back
up and running now and look forward to continuing
our relationships with all of you and providing your
HVAC accessory needs to you.
The other significant event that took place was the
long awaited 2012 elections. We now know the outcome of the election and know that the Executive
and Legislative branches of our government will
remain unchanged in terms of party leadership.
We, like many of you I am sure, expect a bipartisan
atmosphere in Washington, DC, where elected
officials will work towards improving our economy
by instituting policies and passing legislation that
encourages business growth and job creation in
this country. Anything short of this will stunt GDP
growth and work against our collective goals of
improving and growing our businesses, not to
mention the negative impact it will have regarding
our economic standing in the world.
The holiday season is almost upon us. As we
approach this season, we wish you and your
families Happy and Healthy Holidays, and want to
again thank you, our business partners and friends,
for allowing us the opportunity to grow our
business as you
grow yours.
