DEADLINES FOR PAPERWORK FOR 2017/2018 SCHOOL YEAR – Instructional fee $190, technology fee $50 per child CANNOT BE included in your loan this year, MUST be paid NO LATER than MONDAY, MAY 1ST. If not paid by deadline the fees will double. Current families MUST have their current fees (2016/2017 year) paid by MARCH 31ST. If you have a bank loan you must be in good standings. If you would like to apply for tuition assistance for the 2017/2018 school year you can access the application on Ren Web or call the school and ask for a copy. DENTAL – HEADS UP – Updated dental forms are due from kindergarten, 2 nd and 6th graders by MAY 15, 2017. Your child will not receive their report card or advance to the next grade until this is taken care of. It would be a good idea to make your appointments now! QCES Running Club 2017: For the FOURTH year, Running Club is BACK! It is time again to begin training for the Bridge the Gap 5K! BTG is Saturday, May 20. It will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:004:00. WALKERS and RUNNERS welcome! GRADES 4-8 (younger students welcome WITH individual parent supervision at ALL times). I will make an announcement and send an email on Wednesday.** OLYMPIC DAY 5TH – 8TH GRADERS – MAY 9 (raindate May 15) – Enclosed in this week’s Family envelope is an order form to order your Olympic day shirt. The 5 th graders and all new students will need to order one. Everyone else needs to check to make sure their shirt can be found and is in good shape. EVEYONE MUST have a shirt to participate on Olympic day. Have your t-shirt orders and money in NO LATER than APRIL 1. DONATIONS – We are also asking for items that will be given away during the course of the day. Things like Gatorade, chips, candy trinkets are all good suggestions. Please keep this in mind as we will begin collecting items in April. 7TH GRADE FUNDRAISERS - Aluminum Can Collection, Please Start Saving Now – The 7th grade class will hold an aluminum can collection in the spring of 2017 for their trip to Washington DC. They would appreciate if school parents and parishioners would save cans over the winter in order to support this fundraiser. COLLECTIONS – We continue to collect General Mills box tops and Hyvee UPC’s. Please bundle them in groups of 25 – 50. For every bag of 25 your child will receive a piece of candy. When they turn in 10 bags of 25 their name will go into a drawing for $10 worth of Scotties Fun Spot gift cards. Quincy Catholic Elementary Schools (QCES) Foundation to Host 2017-2018 Tuition-Assistance Application Information Sessions The QCES Foundation invites and encourages all QCES families, who wish to apply for tuition assistance for the 2017-2018 school year, to attend one of the two Tuition-Assistance Application Information Sessions to be held on Wednesday, March 8th, and Thursday, March 9th, at 6:30 p.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Church Gathering Area. The Gathering Area, can be accessed from the Blessed Sacrament Church/School parking lot located off 8th St. QND families are invited and encouraged to attend one of the two information sessions, as well. Private School Aid Service (PSAS,) the previous tuition-assistance assessment provider for QCES & QND, was purchased by FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment this past summer. As a result, the application form and the application process have changed. The two information sessions have been arranged by the QCES Foundation to help QCES & QND families feel more comfortable and confident when filling out the new FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment Application.
