Tulip Sultans of Spring
Stately, slender
lily-flowering tulips
in handsome ivorywhite and glowing
red. Both carry gently
reflexed flowers on
tall, sturdy stems.
Excellent for cutting.
Can be massed in a display bed or planted
here and there in a perennial garden.
Three tulips—a
silvery pink, a mauve
and a purple with
a sparkling white
edge—interweave
in perfect harmony.
They deserve a
prominent location
where people may admire them. Can also
be sprinkled through a perennial border.
Long and lovely
tulips in rich colors

Luscious peonylike tulips of soft
baby pink and pure
snow-white. A blend
of special loveliness,
best planted in large
drifts. Excellent for
cutting.
Here is one of those
color arrangements
only tulips can bring:
orange opens first,
then red joins in, and
purple closes ranks.
In the end, the three
bloom together for
up to two weeks.
Flamboyant apricotorange flowers,
touched with yellow
at the base, open
first. Satiny plumpurple blooms soon
