In Maths we have been looking at numbers…

Reading them
Writing them in digits and words



Rounding them
We have also been playing with Top Trumps cards as this is a great way to read and compare numbers
We would like you to create your own set of top trumps cards to bring into school and play together.
You need to make at least 12 cards (but you can make more!).
You need to choose the theme – here are some ideas…




Sports
Music
History
Film Stars




TV Programmes
Book Characters
Cars
Or many other ideas!
You then need to choose the headings for your cards. You need to choose 4 different headings.
Here are some ideas…

Age
Popularity
Year of first film/appearance/release
Number of trophies/awards won



Number of episodes
Top speed
There are loads of ideas!
You then need to do some research and find out what numbers (ratings) to put with each heading. You
need to follow these guidelines.



One heading with numbers 0-10
Two headings with numbers 0-100
One heading with numbers 0-1000
You then need to make the cards


Put a title on each card (what is it?)
Put a picture on each card (print or draw)


Put the headings on each card
Put the ratings on each card
You can make them on the cards on this pack, or download a template from the school website and make
them on computer. You could then print them out or email them to school.
Use the example on the back to help
We would like your cards to be finished and handed in by Friday 13th May.
