WEDNESDAY 12 APRIL 2017
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
The end of term is upon us. I think that we
are all well and truly ready for it. I hope
that our students and staff will all have the opportunity
for some down time so that they are refreshed and
work-ready at the beginning of Term 2.
To ensure we finish the term on a high we have our
Senior Ball tomorrow night. Congratulations, in
advance, to the organising committee for all their work.
I am sure it will be a great success.
Today we had the perfect day for Cross Country definitely not too hot, and a bit of moisture to ensure
that it was a heap of fun. There was excellent
participation and it was great to see many of you there
supporting us, in spite of the rain.
In yesterday’s assembly we celebrated the success of
many of our junior students with a Green Card draw
and Principal’s Awards for Effort to deserving students.
It is enormously encouraging to see how well students
engage with this PB4L (Positive Behaviour for Learning)
initiative. There have been excellent levels of effort
demonstrated by many of our students this term.
Have a great break. I look forward to seeing you all
again next term.

LOST PROPERTY
It is the end of term and the lost property
cupboard is full!
Tomorrow, Thursday 13 April, PTA members will hang
everything out on the rails under the covered walkway
between the Library and the staff car park between
11.00am and 2.00pm.
Please remind your child to come and pick up any items
they might have lost during the term or while on camp.
Also during the holidays could ALL parents
and caregivers please check the names on
your child’s school uniform items. Several
students have the wrong uniform. It is so
easy for students to pick up the wrong shirt
etc after sport or PE and not realise this. This
creates a wee domino effect with missing
uniform.
If your child’s uniform is un-named please take the time
over the holidays to make sure each uniform item has a
name clearly visible in it. This helps us get items back to
the correct owner with a minimum of fuss.
EFFORT CERTIFICATES
The following students were presented with
Effort Certificates at assembly this week. Well
done on putting in a great effort all Term!
