2. Goals and Objectives of the competition
The aim of the competition is to show the level and improve the skills of
young musicians in preparation for the international competition "Coupe
Mondial". It is to be held in Russia, Rostov - on - Don in 2016.
Objectives:
1. the popularazation of the accordion, making children and teenagers
familiar with music culture;
2. revealing and supporting of talented musicians with the aim of their
further creative maturity (development);
3. the improvement of the professional skills of young piano and button
accordion players;
4. the development of pedagogical skills, sharing pedagogical experience
and extending creative contacts;
5. the promotion of creative works by Rostov composers and those, whose
lives and creations were connected with the Rostov region.
3. Rules and regulations
1. The competition is held within the framework of the Festival from 29
of March to 1 of April 2013. The pupils of music schools, liceums,
the students of musical colleges, conservatories, institutions,
academies, concert performers.
2. All listenings is to be held with public. The order of the performances
on the competition is made by casting of lots. It is to be held during
the registrations of the participants.
3. The competition in all categories is to be held in one tour. Participants
must perform the program from memory. Using of backing tracks is
not allowed.
4. If the time limit of the performance is exceeded, the jury is able to
lower the points.
5. The age group of the participant is determined by his (her) age on the
day of the performance.
6. The winners of the competition must take part in the gala - concert on
April,1 2013 (up to the jury decision).
7. Names and phonographic equipment, photographic and video
produced during the entire "Accordion Plus" festival will be
considered the exclusive property of the IMC "Harmony" which may
use through the mass media, publishing on the Internet or alongside
any sponsorship.
4. The program of the competition
Classical accordion, button accordion (music from baroque,
transcription and original pieces of classical and modern composers,
arrangements of folk songs).
1st category (up to 10 years old included) free program
time of performance 6 - 8 minutes
2nd category (11-12years included) free program
time of performance 10 - 12 minutes
3rd category (13-15 years included) free program, including a polyphonic
piece and a virtuoso piece.
time of performance 10 - 15 minutes
4th category (16-18 years included) free program including a polyphonic
piece and a virtuoso piece.
time of performance 15 - 20 minutes
Entertainment (virtuoso pieces, pop and jazz composition, popular
melodies in concert arrangement, pieces in "musette" style)
1st category (up to15 years included) free program
time of performance 8 - 10 minutes
2nd category (up to 18 years included) free program
time of performance 10 - 12 minutes
3rd category (from 19 and older) free program
time of performance 10 - 15 minutes
Ensembles (mixed instruments and same instruments ensembles up
to six members, button or piano accordion must be included)
1st category (up to 15 years included) free program
time of performance 8 - 10 minutes
2nd category (up to 18 years included) free program
time of performance 10 - 12 minutes
3rd category (from 19 years and older) free program
time of performance 10 - 15 minutes
4th category (teacher - pupil) free program

Even one piece written by Rostov composers and those, whose lives and
creations were connected with the Rostov region is advisable (in all
nominations and categories )

5. Awarding
The competition is included to the Russian system of selection of the
accordion players "The Champion of Russia, the Champion of the World",
for taking part in the biggest international competitions "Coupe Mondiale
2013" and "Trophee Mondiale 2013".
6. The order of giving applications
The applications from participants are accepted up to 20 March 2013 by

The application is to include:
the copy of the birth certificate or passport, short creative biography;
one copy of the scores which you are going to play should be given at
registration;
the documents sent after March 20, and applications not filled in a
form are not be accepted.
7. Financial terms
For the soloists: entrance fee is 2000 Russian rubles. Taking part in
two solo nominations could be without extra fee. The entrance fee give an
opportunity of free visiting the Opening and the gala - concerts of the
festival.
For Ensembles: entrance fee is 3000 Russian rubles. Visiting the
concerts of the festival needs extra fee.
The entrance fee should be paid by cash at the registration of the
competition. The money received from the entrance fees will be redirected at
encouraging participants.
All the costs of travel and stay of the participants and accompanying
persons are to be paid by the participants themselves.
8. Hotel
The managers could help to find the place to stay in Russia, after
agreement with the competitor. The applicant should inform the extra date of
coming to the competition-festival and the number of places needed.
