It is the first collection of Shakespeare's plays to be published, seven years after his death. These 36 plays were written to be performed and weren't published during his lifetime. Without this First Folio, many of William Shakespeare's plays would have been lost to us today. It's been 400 years since Shakespeare's death, and his First Folio is traveling the 50 states, with a stop at the Currier Museum of Art.
