todayannouncedthatAthanassia(“Nancy”)PapaioannouwasunanimouslyappointedPresidentofitsAtlantic
BankdivisionbythemembersoftheAtlanticBankAdvisoryBoard.
InadditiontoassuminghernewroleasPresident,Ms.PapaioannouwillcontinuetooverseethePremierBanking
operationsoftheAtlanticBankdivision.
Ms.Papaioannouwasborn,raised,andeducatedinAthens,Greece,wheresheattendedArsakion,aprestigious
preparatoryschool,aswellastheFrenchAcademy.Attheageof18,shejoinedtheNationalBankofGreeceandin
1990,wastransferredtoitsU.S.affiliate,AtlanticBankofNewYork.
OnceinNewYork,Ms.Papaioannoucontinuedheracademicstudies,majoringinAccountingandBanking,and
graduatingfromMarymountManhattanCollegewithadegreeinBusinessManagement.Buildingonherextensive
experienceandhereducation,shebecamethemanagerofthePremierBankingGroupofAtlanticBankofNewYork
inFebruary2001.In2006,whenAtlanticBankofNewYorkwasacquiredbyNewYorkCommercialBank,Ms.
PapaioannoucontinuedinherleadershiprolewithPremierBanking.
AnactiveparticipantintheGreekAmericancommunity,Ms.PapaioannouwasrecentlyelectedPresidentofthe
HellenicAmericanChamberofCommerce,andisamemberofvariousGreekAmericanorganizationsinNewYork.
InassumingthepresidencyoftheAtlanticBankDivision,Ms.PapaioannoufollowsinthefootstepsofSpirosJ.
Voutsinas,whoexcelledinthatpositionfromthetimeofhisappointmentin2006untilhistragicpassingonApril
26,2014.TheAtlanticBankAdvisoryBoardhasbeenactivelyconsideringcandidatesfortherolesincethespring.
TheAtlanticBankAdvisoryBoardalsoestablishedanExecutiveCommitteetoday.TheCommitteeincludesNew
YorkCommercialBankPresidentJosephR.Ficalora,andDivisionalBoardmembersJohnCatsimatidis,Nicolas
Bornozis,SpirosMilonas,andSavasKonstantinides.Inadditiontothemembersonthiscommittee,theAtlantic
